What is Mentors Match?

A mentor is someone who has experience and wisdom that they pass on.  A mentor gives advice.

A coach is a strategic partner that empowers you to explore and discover your own answer.

Mentor coaching is a balance between mentoring and coaching

Why I chose Mentors Match

I did not had idea about the mentor's match until I signed up for one.

The reason I chose was to understand what is mentoring match and how can It be useful for me 

The first though I had was how can I share what I want to improve with a stranger more than how It was why should I share 

But when I spoke to Sadiya a mentor from Tech sister slack channel 

I felt connected and rather than having questions I discussed she made me so comfortable 

I really loved the concept of opening up about things I want to achieve it was really nice initiative by the community 

When I said what I want to achieve her first reply was why I think I need to improve that was the best think I felt always say I want to work on this bla bla but we never think we are good we are fine what we have 

 

Why I think it beneficial 

We meet once a week and discuss and write it down and plan in achieving it. Of course, if we plan and want to achieve, we can but when we want to share our work and show how we are improving make huge difference 

Writing this Blog is also one Idea from the Mentors Match, Else I would sit and think about what to write how to write and where to post 

Now I have someone who answers all my where’s and how’s which I really enjoy

We pick small chunk and try to achieve it
